Checklist for briefing a VAL job

All VAL activities must be submitted via the online form after your order is placed. Use this checklist to prepare your request properly.

You’ll find the VAL form on the confirmation page after completing your shopping cart.

1. Repeat order:

Do you have a previous shipment number?
Add it in the form — this helps us skip the sample step if applicable.

2. Label file requirements:

    • Upload your label as a print-ready PDF in the exact label size. We print your file as-is: black-and-white (monochrome), no scaling, no editing.

    • We do not design, adjust, or recreate labels. Requests such as "same as last time" or label content sent as text will not be processed — always attach the actual file.

    • Indicate the label size in the form (see available sizes below).

3. Don't have a print-ready label file? 

Use AWC Label Studio, our free self-service tool. Enter your product name, SKU and barcode, pick one of our stocked label sizes, and download a print-ready monochrome PDF that meets all our requirements, no designer needed.

 

4. Gift Boxes

If your VAL request includes gift box assembly, please provide:

  • Step-by-step instructions

  • Visuals (photos, sketches, or video)

  • Material details (type of cardboard, dimensions, printed elements)

5. Communication

  • Please provide a contact person on your end for approval and feedback.

  • Indicate in the form if a sample is required.

  • We will email the sample to the contact provided.

6. Shipping labels or materials to AWC?

Make sure to include the following on the shipping label:

This helps us identify the shipment and link it to your VAL request without delay. Shipments without a clear reference may cause delays.
