“Imported by” Labeling when working with AWC
When working with AWC as a Limited Fiscal Representative, your product label must include an EU-based importer. The correct format is: Your legal entity + AWC’s address
Always use the following structure:
Imported by:
[Full legal name of the brand / entity]
Slego 1a
1046 BM Amsterdam
The Netherlands
Example
For Mijenta Tequila:
Imported by:
Altos Planos Inc.
Slego 1a
1046 BM Amsterdam
The Netherlands
Why this is the correct approach
- The brand’s legal entity remains visible as the importer
- The address meets the requirement of an EU-based location
- It aligns with AWC’s role as Limited Fiscal Representative
- It avoids confusion about ownership of the goods
In short:
The brand imports, AWC facilitates.
What not to do
Do not use:
Imported by:
Amsterdam Warehouse Company
This suggests that AWC:
- owns the goods
- is the commercial importer
Which is not correct.
Important condition
The name used must:
- be a legal entity (not just a brand name)
- be the party actually involved in the supply chain
Practical use
- Applies to bottles, boxes, and all retail packaging
- Required for all products entering the EU via AWC
- Can be directly used in label design
Summary
Always list your own company name under “Imported by” and use AWC’s address.
This keeps things legally correct and commercially clear.
